China National Convention Centre (CNCC) boasts the prime location with beautiful surroundings, perfect equipments and convenient transportation facilities. Sitting in the heart of Beijing Olympic Green, CNCC is right next to the Bird's Nest (China National Stadium) and the Water Cube (the National Aquatics Centre), while it is just 30-minute driving to the airport and the subway station at CNCC enabling people to go to city centre or the airport quickly and conveniently. Tian'anmen Square and the Summer Palace are just south 9km and west 10km away respectively. To its north are two of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites inscribed in 1987 and 2000 respectively, the Great Wall and Imperial Tombs of the Ming & Qing Dynasties.

In addition, within a 1km radius, there are three 5-star hotels, eight 4-star hotels, including China National Convention Centre Grand Hotel (CNCC Grand Hotel) adjacent to CNCC, and more than 10 3-star hotels and apartments, totaling over 5,000 rooms.

Besides its convenient location, as China's largest and newest international conference venue, CNCC is equipped with nearly 100 meeting rooms of various sizes and a 24,000 square meters exhibition hall, which can be flexibly divided into 4 self-contained and acoustically independent sections, 6,000 square meters each. The plenary hall can accommodate up to 6,000 delegates and the ballroom can cater up to 3,500 pax banquets.

Proudly with world-class advanced facilities and sound functions, CNCC is absolutely China's most versatile conference and exhibition venue ideal for congresses, international meetings, exhibitions and corporate annual meetings.

History of China

Besides Mesopotamia, the Indus Valley Civilization, the Mayan Civilization, the Minoan Civilization of Ancient Greece and Ancient Egypt, Chinese Civilization was one of the few to invent writing, while Ancient China was one of the earliest centres of human civilization. China also has the longest continuous culture surviving from ancient times with a recorded history of nearly 4000 years.

Over past thousands of years, China has developed unique and valuable cultures, religion, languages, sports and recreation, science and technology as well as arts and literature. The 4 most important and famous inventions of Ancient China (ie. paper, printing, needle compass and gunpowder) not only improved living standard of Chinese people, but were also great contributions to human civilization.

In addition, China was one of the countries where economic activity first developed. As early as 5000 to 6000 years ago, people in the Yellow River valley had already started farming and raising livestock. The first dynasty of China is Xia, which was considered mythical until scientific excavations found early bronze-age sites at Erlitou in Henan Province in 1959. Followed by Xia Dynasty, there were tens of dynasties and kingdoms in the country including Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty, whose capital was Beijing.
