On behalf of the Chinese Ophthalmological Society, we have the pleasure and honor to invite you and your family members to attend and actively participate in the coming Ninth Congress of the Chinese Ophthalmological Society in Wuhan. The Ophthalmology in China and the world over changed with each passing day in both its clinical aspect and basic research since the convocation of eighth Congress of the Chinese Ophthalmological Society (CCOS) in the year 2002. The Ninth CCOS is the grand gathering for the ophthalmologists and visual researchers in China since the implementation of strategy of well-off society by Chinese Government. For the purpose of exchange,, cooperation and friendship, the 9th CCOS will fully review the achievements and current trends in Chinese ophthalmology. Renown domestic and international experts and scholars will be invited to discourse on the new advances and knowledge in ophthalmology, as well as the new experiences gained in this field. The congress will provide a perfect setting for academic exchange, continuing education and the exhibition of new medical products.
Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei province, is called “the native place of yellow crane and the hometown of the bosom friend”. It have long being recognized as “the traffic hinge of nine province” which located in the middle of Yangzi River,and Han River and Yangzi River meet here. Wuhan is consisted with three town, Wuchang, Hankou and Hanyang, which are standing up and look over by the bank of Yangzi and Han River. There are lakes dotted in the city and also have mountain wriggled and waved in the city. It is a typical water and mountain garden city. Wuhan has its long and unique history. It is the Holy place of Emperor Yan, Shennong who is called the progenitor of Chinese and also is the birthplace of “Chu culture”. In modern times, the famous “Revolution of 1911” firstly took place here. Skyscrapers and neons show a flourishing and beautiful scene of modern metropolis in today’s Wuhan.

Call for abstracts, video materials and ophthalmic pictures and paintings on ophthalmology
Paper, video materials, ophthalmic pictures and paintings on ophthalmology or vision-related basic science, clinical research, management, research methodology and the ophthalmic education.
l Abstracts should include the title, authors, their institutions listed within the body of the abstract.
l Abstracts should be in a order of “ purpose, method, result and conclusion” and about 600 words. Detail mail address or E-mail address, and zip code should be included.
l Video material : video tape, VCD or DVD disc, which is not over 30 minutes.
l Photos: High-quality photos of both anterior and posterior segment of the eye, fundus fluorescein angiogram and ophthalmic painting. Size: 210´297mm
