Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the results of management of dislocated IOLs using 23 G transconjunctival sutureless pars plana vitrectomy (PPV).

Methods: Retrospective, interventional case series.

Results: Ten eyes underwent 23 G transconjunctival sutureless PPV (Alcon Laboratories, Inc., Fort Worth, TX) for retrieval and repositioning of IOL in the ciliary sulcus. All eyes underwent successful repositioning of IOL in the ciliary sulcus with no need for suturing conjunctiva, cornea or sclera. Follow up ranged from 2 to 12 months (mean 6.6 months). Post operatively, all eyes had well centered IOLs with minimal lenticular astigmatism.

Conclusion: 23-guage transconjunctival sutureless PPV can be used successfully for retrieval and repositioning of IOL in the ciliary sulcus with good surgical outcome.
