Value Of Treating Low Levels of Astigmatism Using The SN60T3 Toric Intra-Ocular Implant

Purpose: Demonstrate the improvement in post cataract surgery refractive outcomes by using a toric intra-ocular lens implant to treat even low levels (0.75-1.25D) of pre-operative corneal astigmatism

Methods: Single surgeon series using SN60T3 toric implant, 2.2 mm wound based micro-coaxial phacoemulsification surgery

Results: Significant decrease in postoperative astigmatism

Conclusion: Low levels of post-operative astigmatism are visually significant and can be effectively treated at the time of surgery by use of low range toric intra-ocular implants
