Outcomes of Scleral Buckling Surgery in Patients under Seventeen Years Purpose: To analyze outcomes of buckling in patients less than seventeen year's of age.

Methods: A total of 129 patients were included in the study. All the patients presented with primary rhegmetagenous retinal detachment and were less than seventeen years old .Study was conducted at Department of Ophthalmology Lahore General Hospital, Lahore from 2002 to 2010
Results: Anatomic reattachment was achieved in 112(86.8%) patients after scleral buckling procedure. In 17(13.1%) patients scleral buckling procedure failed and these patients underwent second vitreo retinal procedure for retinal reattachment.
Conclusion: Conventional Scleral Buckling is a reliable procedure for primary rhegmetagenous retinal detachment in patients less than seventeen years old.
