Purpose: To assess the visual outcome and to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Pars Plana Vitrectomy using a 23.Guage Trans Conjunctival Sutureless Vitrectomy System (TVS) or Micro Incision Vitrectomy Surgery (MIVS) for different vitreoretinal Diseases.

Method: A prospective consecutive interventional case series performed on more than 100 eyes of patients with various vitreoretinal disorders at LRBT, free base eye Hospital Korangi No. 2 ½, Karachi. The pre and post operative visual status were evaluated. The efficacy and safety of the technique intra operatively and post operatively were assessed.

Conclusion: Micro Incision Vitrectomy Surgery (MIVS) using a 23 Guage Trans Conjunctival Vitrectomy System is a safe and effective technique and convenient in selective cases.
