Neglected Corneal Ulcer Caused by Pseudomonas

Purpose: To report corneal ulcer cause by pseudomonas case, how to diagnose, treat and improve it.
Methods: A case report
Results: A Male, 43 years old, suffered from pain and foreign body sensation in his left eye. Three months before, a bat hit his left eye, when he rode a motorcycle. He got some drug from primary health care but no improvement. Because of distance limitation between his house and Tertiary Health Care, he was neglected until 3 months. In ophthalmology examination found the visual acuity of the left eye was hand movement , eye lid mild spasm, discharge +, hypheremia+, foreign body -, defect 5x6 cm, 1/3 stromal depth, stromal necrosis, fluorescent test +, hypopion 1.5 mm. We already performed culture sensitivity test. The cause of corneal ulcer was Pseudomonas and we choose sensitivity drugs to improving the ulcer. After 1 month, the condition getting better and the visual acuity was 2/60.
Conclusion: Neglected bacterial corneal ulcers by pseudomonas can get better condition with right management.
