The management of serious complications in a nanophthalmos patient after trabeculectomy

Nanophthalmos is an eyeball whose volume is significantly less than that of a normal eyeball,but it is not accompanied by other significant ocular malformation. Clinically, it is rather rare, and it may be complicated by glaucoma. During and after an intraocular operation, malignant glaucoma, expulsive intraocular hemorrhage, choroidal leekage and retinal detachment may occure,seriously threatening the vision function. In this report, active management have good effect in curing nanophthalmos complications during and after intraocular operation.
