Purpose: To report the visual and refractive outcomes of PRK to correct residual refractive error and high order aberration after apodized diffractive multifocal intraocular lens implantation.
Method: We have retreated the residual refractive error and high order aberration using wavefront guided PRK(OPDCAT,OPD Customized Aspheric Treatment) and NIDEK excimer laser to the two unhappy patients who had Acrysof Restor IOL implantation.
Results: Post operatively, both patient were within +/-0.5D of emmetropia. The patient 1 had an uncorrected distant visual acuity(UCDVA) of 20/20 and uncorrected near visual acuity(UCNVA)of J1. and patient 2 had an uncorrected distant visual acuity(UCDVA) of 20/25 and uncorrected near visual acuity(UCNVA)of J3. High order aberrations were decreased in both patients and the blurred vision and monocular diplopia were disappeared.
Conclusions: Wavefront guided PRK for residual refractive error after apodized diffractive multifocal intraocular lens implantation was safe and effective.
