Purpose. To study the Lipoflavon eye drops influence on the postoperative course after excimerlaser correction performed by LASEK method.

Methods. 31 patients (62 eyes) with different degree of myopia who underwent LASEK with application of Mitomicin C on both eyes on the Esiris excimer laser (Schwind, Germany), were examined. In addition to traditional therapy (Floxal, Oftan Dexamethason, Artelak) the Basic group received Lipoflavon eye drops.

Results & conclusions. In the early postoperative period the visual acuity of the Basic group patients amounted to 0,49±0,06 units, Comparison group - 0,43±0,03. Duration of the corneal syndrome in Basic group patients was 1,8±0,5 days shorter and the oedema of cornea's epithelium was treated 2,1±0,3 days faster than in Comparison group. Time of the cornea's epithelialization in the Basic group decreased by 1,6±0,4 days in contrast with the Comparison group.

Additional use of Lipoflavon eye drops in the postoperative period after excimerlaser correction of vision performed by LASEK method promotes acceleration of the regenerative processes, ensures the cornea epithelialization and decreases the subjective symptoms in patients.
