The Clinical diagnosis value of color doppler image in patients with Hypertensive retinopathy

Objective: To investigate the changes of post-Ocular vascular hemodynamics of patients with hypertensive retinopathy(HR) , and to evaluate the value of color doppler image in the diagnosis of hypertensive retinopathy.
Methods: This study included 98 patients(98 eyes) with systemic hypertension, which were divided into 4 groups (0 grade, Ⅰ grade, Ⅱ grade, Ⅲ grade)according to its severity of hypertensive retinopathy, The peak systolic velocity (PSV), end diastolic velocity (EDV), resistance index (RI) of the ophthalmic artery, central retinal artery were measured by color Doppler image.40 cases (40 eyes) without hypertension were inluded as the control group, the blood flow index of each group was compared.
Results: Compared with the control group and the 0 grade group, the peak systolic velocity (PSV), end diastolic velocity (EDV) of central retinal artery(CRA) in hypertensive patients (Ⅰ grade, Ⅱ grade, Ⅲ grade) were slower.the resistance index (RI) was higher(P <0.05); the resistance index (RI) of ophthalmic artery(OA) in hypertensive patients (Ⅰ grade, Ⅱ grade, Ⅲ grade) were higher(P <0.05).
Conclusion: The blood flow indexes of central retinal artery (CRA) is closely related to the severity of hypertensive retinopathy. color Doppler image can accurately reflect the retrobulbar vascular resistance and blood supply ,which has important clinical value in early diagnosis and prognosis in hypertensive retinopathy.
