[Abstract] Objective To know the main type and distribution characteristic of corneal astigmatism in the myopia population. Methods Patients between the age of 18 to 50 accepting the refractive surgery in the Aier Eye Hospital in Chengdu、Chongqing、Changsha and Jinan were retrospectively analysed. Corneal curvature were recorded through corneal topography statistic, and the orientation of cornea K1, DK --- the measurement of corneal astigmatism and the changes of K value in the each age group were also recorded. Results 28453 eyes had complete data records, 18.10% of which had the DK value ≤0.5D; 35,14% between 0.5D～1.0D；27，42% between 1.0D～1.5D；12.55% between 1.5D～2.0D；4.34% between 2.0D～2.5D; 1.50% between 2.5D～3.0D; 0.64% between 3.0D～3.5D; 30% ＞3.5D. 25163 eyes were randomly abstracted to record the axial data, 4.91% of which had the K1 axial ≤45°, 50.17% of which between 45°～90°, 40.71% of which between 90°～135°, 4.20% of which between 135°～180°, and people with the age ＜20 years had the K1 at 43.91±1.50 and k2 at 42.82±1.37 ; age between20～29,K1 at 44.00±1.49 and K2 at 42.89±1.37 ;age between 30～39，K1 at 44.09±1.48, K2 at 42.99±1.37;age＞40, K1 at 44.18±1.53,K2 at 43.05±1.47. Conclusion In the myopia population with the age between 18 to 50, 91% of which have the k1axial between 45°～135, only 6.78% of which had the corneal astigmatism more than 2.0D, and the corneal K value have no significant change in the different age group.
