[abstract] Objective:To investigate the ocular signs of the cavernous dural arteriovenous fistulas for recognizing it and avoiding misdiagnosis.Methods: 10 cases of cavernous dural arteriovenous fistulas that verified by cerebral angiography were reviewed on the case history、ocular sign、clinical examination、treatment。Results:In 10 patients,4 patients were male and 6 patients were female,age ranged from 26-65.1 patient had trauma history.All 10 cases had exophthalmos,conjunctiva hyperemia,1 case had ptosis,4 cases had diplopia,3 cases had visual acuity decrease,4 cases had ocular motility restricted,2 cases had optic disc edema.All cases were improved through endovascular embolization.Conclusion: Present symptoms of cavernous dural arteriovenous fistulas are conjunctiva hyperemia、exophthalmos,ultrasound、 computed tomography、digital subtraction angiography are useful examination methods for diagnosis,now endovascular embolization is useful therapy of cavernous dural arteriovenous fistulas . |
