Objective  To summarize the curative effect of reconstruction of eyelid after resection of carcinoma of meibomian gland.
Methods  A series of 16 cases of carcinoma of meibomain gland received  the following operation：while the carcinoma was resected，the palpebral conjunctiva was moved upward to substitute for the inner layer of upper eyelid by utilizing the tarsal plate of the lower eyelid，and then the transported derma was used to repair the  damaged outer layer．After 3 months，the position  and length of the upper palpebral were stamped with gentian violet，and the whole layers of palpebral  was cut and the upper eyelid was sewn up．
Results  None of the cases was recurrent from half to 6 years during regular visit and the palpebral appearance was  satisfying．Except for the lack of eyelashes , the palpebm could move freely and close completely．
Conclusion  The operation is simple and easy，taking  less  operation time and leaving fewer wounds and complications．Patients suffer little pain ,  with both appearance and function satisfactory in the eyelids after operation．
