Objective:To access the clear lens extirpation combined wtih the posterior chamber foldable intraculor lens implanation as an effective,safe technique for correction of the middle-aged and younthful super high myopia.
Methods: The clear len extirpation combined with the posterior chamber foldable intraculor lens implanation was performed on 60 eyes of 32 middle-aged and younthful patients with high myopia using localized anesthesia. The age of patient is from 18 to 51,and the average is 32.33±11.19,the number of the biocular patient is 28; the number of the monocular patient is 4. The mean follow-up was 3～12months. The mean axial length is 30.03±2.04mm. The comparison of the visual acuity,the best corrected visual acuity and the astigmism of cornea preoperatively and postoperatively,and the postoperative complication were observed.
Results:At 3 month postoperatively, the number of eye with visual acuity better than 0.5 was 32 ,ocuppy 32% of the all,and the eye with the best corrected visual acuity better than 0.5 was 46 ,ocuppy 76.7% of the all. No rupture of posterior capsule was observed during the operation. Posterior capsule opacity developed in eyes of 8 patients,14 eyes and the YAG laser posterior capsulotomy was performed.No retinal detachment, cystoid macular edema, heamorrhage, glaucoma and the decentration of intraocular lens were observed during the follow-up time.
Conclusion: The correction of middle-aged and younthful super high myopia through the clear len extirpation combined with the posterior chamber foldable intraculor lens implanation was satisfactory and safe, but the proficient skill in phacoemulsification was the key processes for the spreading of the technique, and the postoperative follow-up is necessary to observe the postoperative complications. |
