Objects:analysis of related factors of ocular ischemia disease due to carotid artery stenosis Subjects:87 carotid narrowing patients. All the patients denied any history of primary glaucoma, retinal vein obstruction, pigmentary degeneration of retina or high myopia. Methonds:history-taking, vascular ultrasonography, transcranial doppler ultrasound vascular screening, ocular examination, statistic ananysisi and methonds:separate the carotid stenosis patients into two groups: ocular ischemia group and non-ocular ischemia group. Compare the two groups in terms of some characteristic factors related to ocular ischemia—like sex, age, blood pressure, blood sugar, smoking and drinking history and the opening condition of the cranial vascular bypass. Results:AgeIn the 87 patients, 22 have ocular ischemia(age:62.69±8.98)and 65 patients do not(age:69.68±10.34). Homoscedasticity test: F=1.63, P=0.14>0.05;T test:t=0.001, P=0.997 (P>0.05), no statistical significance. Univariate analysis of ocular ischemia related to carotid stenosisAmong all the factors, the statistic significance exists with the sex and the opening of collateral circulation of ocular artery. (P<0.05)Logistic Regression AnalysisIn the 87 patients, age is the negative factor to ocular ischemia and collateral circulation is the positive factor to ocular ischemia.
