[Abstract] Objective To analyze the results of phacoemulsification cataract surgery in eyes that had refractive surgery and to compare the predictability of Holladay Ⅱand SRK/Ⅱ formula of intraocular lens power calcuation. Methods 18 cases that 20 eyes were divided into 3 groups. Group 1 including 5 eyes the IOL power calculated with SRK/Ⅱformula, the K value was calculated using the conventional keratometry-KA. Group 2 including 8 eyes the IOL power calculated with Holladay Ⅱ formula, the K value was calculated using the conventional keratometry-KA and Surgeon-Entered k-value-KS. Group 3 including 7 eyes the IOL power calculated with Holladay Ⅱ formula also, the K value was calculated using the conventional keratometry-KA and k-value from refractive data--KR. The achieved refraction after phacoemulsification was compared with target refraction to assess the predictability of formula and the accuracy of k-value. Results In-group 1, the mean difference between target and achieved refractions after phacoemulsification was 2.43±0.42(SD). In-group 2 was 0.90±0.22(SD). In-group 3 was 0.99±0.22(SD). Conclusions The significant improvement was founded in IOL power calculation after refractive surgery with Holladay Ⅱ than SRK/Ⅱ formula .No significant improvement was founded in Holladay II formula with KS and KR.
