| Purpose： To investigate the changes of Th1/Th2 cytokine expression in the development of anterior chamber-associated immune deviation (ACAID).
Methods： Intracameral injection of 100μg OVA was performed in BALB/c mice to induce ACAID. The dynamic changes in the frequency of Th1/Th2 cytokines expression from spleens of mice with ACAID were analyzed by flow cytometry. As ACAID has been considered as an antigen-specific suppressive response, we further examined the cytokines profiles of CD4+ T cells upon exposure to OVA(5 µg/mL).
Results： CD4+ T cells from the mice with ACAID at 1, 2, 3, 4 weeks after OVA injection into the anterior chamber produced higher levels of IL-4 (P<0.01) and IL-10(P<0.01), but lower levels of IFN- (P<0.01) as compared with those in positive or naïve controls.
Conclusions： there was an impaired Th1 response and an increased Th2 response during the development of ACAID.
