Purpose: To examine the relationship between ocular fundus with variable histopathogic finding by using SD-OCT .
Design: Retrospective comparative case series.
Methods: All patients had also undergone SD-OCT (Spectral Domain-Optical Coherence Tomography)examination. (Spectralis, Heidelberg Engineering GMBH, Heidelberg, Germany) Participants: 24 pairs of eyes from 24 patients.
Results: High correlation between fundus examination and clinical histopathogic findings.
Conclusions: SD-OCT has better axial resolution and a faster acquisition time, thereby offering minute details of fundus views, and more accurate finding the pearls and clinicopathologic gems that correlation with histopathologic validation of ocular diseases. |
