Objective To determine the correlation between 3D-OCT and mERG of the eye with diabetic macular edema.
Methods 3D-OCT and mERG were run on 60 eyes of 40 cases of diabetic macular edema. Fundus examination by the macular retinal hard exudates, macular fluorescence imaging with fluorescence leakage, OCT foveal thickness is more than checking 170um. Than other retinal diseases affect the macula, the 3D-OCT check fovea, adjacent to the fovea, inferior, nasal, temporal, about 750um at the retinal at the measurement. Of these 60 eyes were mERG routine inspection. The patients with other retinal diseases were excluded. The data were processed with software SPSS13.0.
Results 5 ° central macular region N1, P1 response densities and the absolute value of neurosensory foveal thickness significantly correlated (P<0.05); macular central 10 ° area N1, N2 response densities and the absolute value of the fovea nerve cortical thickness on the significant correlation (P<0.05).
Conclusions The nerve of diabetic macular edema and macular changes in epithelial thickness changes in a certain area mERG related, mainly for the central macular region 5 ° and 10 ° mERG lower density of the wave reflection. |
