Objective: To investigate the related factor analysis of corneal asphericity(Q-value). Methods: Corneal topography and wavefront data were collected from 179 myopic eyes .The Q-value was computed from corneal Shape Factor (SF), and wavefront data was computed for a 6.0-mm pupil.
Results: The relationship between Q-value and Spherical aberration(C12) was statistically significant (r=0.362,p=0.000). This was also the case for the relationship between Q-value and corneal astigmatism(r=-0.185,p=0.013). In addition, no association could be demonstrated between Q-value and RMS HO(r=-0.132,p=0.078) or C7(r=-0.122,p=0.135)or C8(r=-0.133,p=0.076),and there was no relationship between Q-value and corneal SimK-value (r = 0.029, p = 0.696).
Conclusion: Spherical aberration and the value of corneal astigmatism are the most importantly related factor of Q-value . |
