purposes: to observe if the situation of the long term persistence of perfluorocarbon liquid had any influence to cornea endothelium.
methods:Two patients who had perfluorocarbon liquid persisted in their eyes for 20 months and 8 months respectively were observed and the quantity and shape of the cornea endothelium were detected.
results:.for both patients the cornea were still transparent. The construction of the cornea endothelium cells that contacted with perfluorocarbon liquid were almost the same as the other part of the cornea. The account of the number of cornea endothelium cells in lower, middle, and upper area and their respective 6A for the first case were 1547、52;1406、44;1792、74,for the second case the lower part: 2583, AVE 387, 6A 46, the middle part: 3300, AVE303, 6A 56,
conclusions: The persistence of perfluorocarbon liquid in eye may not cause complications. |
